New to Cardmaking?

I'm so thrilled that you've found your way to my little teeny tiny dot of a website to learn more about making cards.

I was 25 when I started making cards. I was an 'at home Mum' with our first baby who was around a year or so old when I wandered past a Scrapbooking Store in the town (actually a city - Kalgoorlie-Boulder). Not knowing what scrapbooking was, I wandered in and signed myself up for a cardmaking class. I had no idea of the wonder waiting for me...

I was instantly hooked. The idea that me, a person of very little 'art ability' (as I had been told by my Year 8 art teacher) was able to create a 'masterpiece on a tiny canvas' (OK, so that's what my cards have been called by an *Actual Artist) with a few materials and tools just blew me away. Jeremy worked away, a lot. I was looking for a hobby that I could do by myself, at home, with a little one present. Now, after being an avid card maker for over 20 years, I still feel the passion for cardmaking and I'm on a mission to share it with anyone who's keen to give it a go.
