3 Quick Cards with the Translucent Florals Bundle

I find I'm so much more productive when I make a card and then 'tweak' the same card, to make another, and another.  I have the colours out (because, let's face it, sometimes choosing the colour is the hardest part), so it's relatively easy to just keep making a series of rolling changes, and before you know it, you have a nice little pack of cards to send when the occasion calls for it.  This set started with the 'Hello' version (which is actually my favourite) and went from there.  Using a series of techniques here, I love how simple the dry embossing is for such a dramatic effect, and to only emboss a part of the piece of card instead of the whole piece only adds to it.

Hello

My favourite aspect of this card is definitely the dry embossing that only covers roughly two-thirds of the background.  I love how it gives a different texture, but is so subtle about the way it looks. I'm an absolute sucker for ribbons too, and the bright bold blue of the Azure Afternoon sets it off so well. And I have to admit, the 'Sequins for Everything' that happen to be in the Clearance Rack at the moment are my all-time faves! Have you seen my hack on how to make ANY embellishment self-adhesive? (Message me if you haven't).

Thinking of You

I used a technique here that I almost never use... masking. This technique gives you the ability to stamp on one piece of card without the images overlapping onto each other. I've had the Masking Paper for so long and never used it, I'm so pleased I did, this was a nice result.

Get Well

For this card I used a slightly different technique of masking, with the mask template in the background, coloured using a Blending Brush.
